under construction

Site still under construction but I wanted to write a little. I suppose this new blog shall be about all sorts of things but most importantly about motherhood along with fatherhood I won't single it out especially since my daughter has such an amazing father and friends we know that are amazing father's. I want to write about what keeps me going and how I try to balance myself throughout my journey. I know everyone is living different lives and we can't all do what each other is doing and I know I hate when I come across a blog and it's so squeaky clean and perfectly scheduled and all that other stuff. I know that for the most part being a parent is MESSY!

Your life changes and so does everything else. It's as if you are given a second chance to help yourself all while building these beautiful little creature's. It's so amazing to watch my children and see them grow. It's such a HUGE responsibility and one I sometimes cannot believe I was chosen to do let alone teach these young minds. I am fascinated day after day at how spectacular children are. They are innocent and imaginative. I want my blog to be a place where Mom's and Dad's come to laugh, learn, and try to balance themselves as well. Every night I go through a list in my head and every morning I go through a list in my head. I want everyday to be an opportunity for my children to grow and love life. Too long have I been burdened down by the harsh realities of life. I want my children to have a great childhood and come out as responsible, loving, secure adults. To face adulthood with gusto rather then apprehensiveness.

I want my children to understand themselves and have confidence within themselves and know that they CAN do anything they put their minds to. I want them to have respect for themselves and others. I want them to be decent human beings with the Lord in their hearts. I know most parents long for their children to be better then them and so many other things. I hope this blog can give you as a parent the confidence and resource's you need to further your children along in life. I want to help others and sometimes the only way I know how is to share with them my struggle's and make my resource's available to them. Lord knows without the family and friends that surround me I would be lost and alone. I want each of you as a parent to write a list of your goals and dreams for yourself then for your children. Then I want you to hide those list's and start a list like this TODAY:

1. You are an amazing parent and you help your child more than you know. You nurture them, love, them, feed them and most of all tolerate them (it's okay to have a sense of humor as a parent). You are among so many others who everyday face themselves and the mirror and ask "am I doing enough" to answer your question YES you are doing more than you know. So relax and try today to focus on how happy your children make you because before long they will no longer be these tiny little monster's they will be adult's who will need you more than ever and if you don't stop now and love them and guide them they will be lost forever. Remember in the end a child won't care what toy you bought them or what place you took them the most important thing they will remember is how much you stopped no matter how busy, tired, sick, angry, stressed or whatever it may be that you are feeling or going through, to play and love them and just talk to them. You are doing a great job and all of that nonsense can wait. Your children can't. Believe me when I say that you and your children will be better off because of it.
